The Wezesha Mwanafunzi Project (Empower the Student Project) is an initiative by the Tanzania Women and Youth Foundation (TAWOYOFO) aimed at supporting and inspiring young students, especially girls, to pursue their dreams through education, mentorship, and empowerment programs.
This project seeks to break barriers that hinder students from achieving their full potential by providing mentorship, career guidance, and access to essential learning resources. Through Wezesha Mwanafunzi, we encourage students to aspire to professional careers such as doctors, lawyers, pilots, and accountants, reinforcing the belief that education is the key to success.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
- Career Inspiration & Mentorship – Introducing students to various career paths and connecting them with role models in different professions.
- Girls’ Education Advocacy – Promoting equal education opportunities and reducing school dropout rates, especially among girls.
- Scholarship & Educational Support – Providing financial aid, school materials, and support for students in need.
- Confidence & Leadership Building – Equipping students with leadership skills, self-confidence, and a growth mindset.
IMPACT & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
- Students are encouraged to dream big and work towards ambitious career goals.
- Communities are sensitized on the importance of education, particularly for young girls.
